Welcome to the Daniel DNA Project web site. This project was started in June 2002, and is using Y chromosome DNA testing to determine the relationships between men with the surname Daniel, and variant spellings including Daniels, Dannel, Daniell, O'Daniel, McDaniel, etc. The goals of the project are to determine the relationships between these families and assist participants in determining their ancestry.

Use the links below to check out our results and to see which lines are currently participating. There is also a page for those who are looking for a Daniel male from their line to participate in the project and who are willing to pay part or all of the costs for testing.

Please feel free to contact the Project Manager or our testing provider, Family Tree DNA, with any questions.
